We have a terrifying show for you today all about the house we grew up in. So, Jenny and Kari are here to share a collection of creepy tales that happened in our childhood home and some are being told here for the very first time!!!! Story 1: Growing up in a haunted house can make you feel like your losing your mind! There always seemed to be things happening that just didn’t quite make sense and all seven of us kids learned to cope by keeping our lips zipped and pretending that things were okay…Jenny shares two terrifying memories from when she was just a little kid! Story 2:The house we all grew up in was large, it was an old Victorian that was built in around 1880 and had a distinctly Gothic vibe especially after our mom painted it a shade of gray that was almost black, but it was still only a 3 bedroom 1 ½ bath house and we had 7 kids, 2 parents and an assortment of dogs, cats, birds, and more living there, we also had the most kids on the block, so our house was the headquarters for every kid in the neighborhood – it was also, as you’ve heard, haunted as hell. Kari tells a story of something that somehow moved in the night. If you’ve been listening to the show, you may have heard a story or two from our favorite call-in storyteller ,Tammy,. She tells such great stories and is so much fun, that I decided it was time to call her and have her tell me a few more of her crazy stories… and boy did she, and reminded me of a few of my own!
In this week’s episode, we find myself (Kim) and Jenny traveling together on a sister’s weekend to the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota and everything is going right… it seems like it’s going to be an awesome vacation… maybe?

Travel can be a lot of things and of course, when one of us taking a trip... things can get to How in the Hell did I get here? pretty quick!
In today's Episode, Erin learns the importance of thoroughly reading the directions during a this 12-hour endurance test. Next, Kari just wants to get home to join in the graduation celebrations of a niece and nephew... the question is will she even get on the plane after an alarming encounter with the TSA? Lastly, Kim is on her first trip out of the country (yes, the same trip where she was also held hostage by a monkey in Episode 3!) where she tries parasailing. We've all had strange encounters with animals... maybe a bat swoops through your living room, a deer jumps in front of your car, or a mouse runs up to you in the kitchen, and in true How in the Hell did I get here fashion, sisters Jenny Gardner, Kim A. Flodin, and Erin Beach take it up a notch in this episode featuring three stories of strange encounters with animals.
In the first story, Jenny shares the time she had a real-life sighting of Monkey Dog! What's a monkey dog you ask? Listen in to find out! In the next story, Kim, Jenny and Erin share a harrowing tale of a dark and misty night at Jenny and family's hobby farm. What was that thing shuffling and snorting in the shadows? Is it dangerous? Will it eat the dog? Will anyone ever respond to Erin's screams of terror? In our final story, Kim ventures out of the country for the very first time and finds herself in a hostage situation... with a monkey!
